We are the independent and external trusted counsellors for all Ukrainian refugees in the following municipalities: Hoeksche Waard, Zwijndrecht, Dordrecht, Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht, Alblasserdam, Papendrecht, Sliedrecht, Hardinxveld-Giessendam, Molenlanden and Gorinchem. All these municipalities are part of the Zuid-Holland-Zuid Safety Region.

It doesn’t matter whether you live at a municipal reception centre or are staying with private individuals. Our job is to help you!

Unpleasant situations tend to occur Unpleasant situations tend to occur in places where lots of people live or work together. They include aggression and violence, harassment, (sexual) intimidation and/or discrimination. Perhaps you may have experienced this and this is happening at your reception centre or at work. If so, do not let the unpleasant situation go on longer than needed. Talk about it. 

First step: talk to the people at your location

The managers of your reception centre are the first people you should talk to. Or your contact person if you are staying with private individuals. They often know the situation and can help you. 

Do you feel that your contact is not listening to what you have to say? Or do you not feel safe enough to share your experience with this contact person? Talk to one of us.

We help you think through the problem, and you make the choices yourself

We listen to what you have to say. Together we try to understand the problem. We also think about possible, feasible solutions with you. You are always in control. We help you think through the options. That way you are one step closer to a solution. We do not work for the safety region or a municipality. This means we are and always will be objective and independent. 

All our conversations are confidential

Every conversation you have with us is confidential. This means you can talk freely and can be sure that everything that is said remains between us.

The appointments are organised outside the reception centres, in other locations, such as the town hall. 

Language We use the Say Hi translation app during all conversations. If the app is not sufficient to understand your problem or situation, we may call in an interpreter from the Tolkentelefoon. Like us, they are also sworn to secrecy. All conversations are confidential.
